Midland Michigan Kennel Club

Licensed by the American Kennel Club

MMKC is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 to promote good sportsmanship among its members and respect for canine companions. The club maintains a training facility in Sanford Michigan. The following activities are supported by the club:

• Sponsors Obedience & Conformation Classes (Indoors year round) for dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age and up.
• Conducts a two-day AKC conformation show, obedience trials and agility trials each May. Also holds Agility trials in October.
• Conducts frequent Show-n-Go events.
• “Dogs On Wheels” (Canine & Human Visits to Local Nursing Facilities)
• Monthly Newsletter of Club Activities
• Assists people in locating available purebred puppies and dogs
• Presents Monthly Programs of interest to dog owners/breeders
• Annual eye clinics by renowned animal ophthalmologists each fall.
• Sponsors booth at Midland County Fair
• Supports 4-H Canine Activities
  
• Conducts Educational Seminars
• Conducts Canine Good Citizen Tests and testing for Therapy Dogs International
